There are lots of sites that are of interest to sports people and in particular table tennis people. Many can be found by inserting the magic words "table tennis" into your favourite search engine.
Some essential sites are those relating to Northumberland Table Tennis (NTT), the English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
Where can you purchase equipment? CTTC uses Tees Sport, a local company and one that has played a major part in assisting table tennis in this region and nationally over a period of many years.
How can you raise funds? If you are a properly constituted club there are various grant making charitable trusts and National Lottery based schemes (such as Awards for All). Your local authority sports development officer or your local CVS (Council for Voluntary Services) may be able to give you some advice.
Are there any sites that you find particularly helpful for table tennis players? Why not share them with us? Email us at CTTC.
This section will guide you to some useful websites.
Table Tennis Coach - This is a useful website produced by Graeme Boxwell, a member of Cramlington Table Tennis Club and an ETTA Level 2 Coach. It features Sunderland players Graeme and Anthony Barella and Cramlington player David Graham with Bernie Morris, ETTA Level 4 Coach, giving the coaching tips. There are useful video clips demonstrating strokes for beginners and more advanced players and was filmed at the Sporting Club of Cramlington, the home of Cramlington Table Tennis Club.
English Table Tennis Association - ETTA is the national table tennis body to which CTTC is affiliated. Included in this site are the links to sites of many leagues and clubs in England.
Northumberland Table Tennis - NTT is the body which covers League and County activities in Northumberland.
International Table Tennis Federation - ITTF is the umbrella body for all the various national associations. Included on the site are full copies of rules, regulations and the laws of table tennis
Awards for All - A4A is a lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. See in ABOUT how it has helped CTTC.
Tees Sport - Tees Sport is the preferred supplier of TT equipment to CTTC. It is a locally based company (Middlesbrough) and has been in business since 1976. Most of CTTC players use Tees Sport and, through the Club, enjoy a good discount on their purchases.
Northumberland Life - is a new Local Government service which provides a lifeline to community groups across Northumberland by offering them a website and event/job promotion for clubs, voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations.
Sunderland Table Tennis Club - Keeps you up to date with table tennis in the Sunderland area
