There are lots of sites that are of interest to sports people and in particular table tennis people. Many can be found by inserting the magic words “table tennis” into your favourite search engine. Some essential sites are those relating to Northumberland Table Tennis  TTT), the English Table Tennis Association (ETTA), English Schools Table Tennis Association and the International  Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

Where can you purchase equipment? CTTC uses Tees Sport and Thorntons both reputable companies that have played a major part in assisting table tennis, regionally and nationally, over a period of many years. How can you raise funds? If you are a properly constituted club there are various grant making charitable trusts and National Lottery based schemes (such as Awards for All). Your local authority sports development officer or your local CVS (Council for Voluntary Services) may be able to give you some advice.

TableTennis 365 / Northumbria – This website gives you daily updates on the Northumbria Table Tennis League. Periodic updates appear on the Cramlington TTC website

Table Tennis Coach – This is a useful website produced by Graeme Boxwell, a member of Cramlington Table Tennis Club and an ETTA Level 2 Coach. It features Sunderland players Graeme and Anthony Barella and Cramlington player David Graham with Bernie Morris, ETTA Level 4 Coach, giving the coaching tips. There are useful video clips demonstrating strokes for beginners and more advanced players and was filmed at the Sporting Club of Cramlington, the home of Cramlington Table Tennis Club.

English Table Tennis  Association – ETTA is the national table tennis body to which CTTC is affiliated. Included in this site are the links to sites of many leagues and clubs in England.

Northumberland Table Tennis – NTT is the body which covers League and County activities in Northumberland.

International Table Tennis Federation       – ITTF is the umbrella body for all the various national associations. Included on the site are full copies of rules, regulations and the laws of table tennis. It frequently features live video transmission of major TT events.

Awards for All – A4A is a lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. See in ABOUT how it  has helped CTTC.

Table Tennis Talk – a locally produced website with a wide variety of content. It offers a Forum for players to express their views and opinions. Contributors to the Forum section are required to register first.

Tees Sport – Tees Sport is a major supplier of TT equipment and the main agent for Butterfly bats, rubbers, equipmentto CTTC. It is a locally based company  (Middlesbrough) and has been in business since 1976.

Thorntons Table Tennis – Another major supplier of TT equipment. Based in the North West (Bury) it is the main agent for Stiga.

Northumberland Life – is a new Local Government service which provides a lifeline to community groups across Northumberland by offering them a website and event/job promotion for clubs, voluntary groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Sunderland Table Tennis Club – Not currently operating a website

Humshaugh Table Tennis – is the newest club in the Tynedale area of Northumberland. Established in 2009 it is based in Humshaugh Village Hall and meets most Thursdays between September and April. It welcomes players of all abilities. It is a go ahead club with a useful website giving full details of its activities.

Table Tennis Talk –  is put together by local player Dave Robson.  If you are interested in discussing TT through forums this is a site for you.
